Kim & Andy are two of those special people that you sometimes cross paths with in life who leave an indelible mark on your heart. They are both warm, kindhearted and madly in love with each other! Their wedding was an AMAZING day at the gorgeous TPC Valencia Golf Club. I knew after I connected with these two for their Seattle Engagement Session that their wedding day was going to be something special! And I wasn’t disappointed. Congratulations, Kim & Andy!

I love it when two genuine, kind-hearted people find each other, and decide to spend their lives together. Not only are Crystal & Keith two of the kindest people I’ve ever met, but they have a circle of family & friends who share that same spirit. I knew this was going to be a great wedding after I met up with Crystal & Keith for their engagement session. Many of you know that I LOVE Santa Barbara weddings, and this one was no different! The day began with a beautiful ceremony at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. I then had the opportunity to spend a little time with just Crystal & Keith. Santa Barbara has no shortage of great shooting spots, and we hit some of my faves! Their reception was held at the AMAZING Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara. Thanks so much, Crystal & Keith, for a wonderful day and new friendships!

Every wedding, I have the honor of shooting is another amazing opportunity to capture a new love story. Shariyah & Cameron have a very sweet, deeply spiritual love story, and their Santa Barbara wedding was a magnificent reflection of that. They traveled all the way from New Zealand to say their vows at the historic Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara. It was a rich & beautiful day, and an incredible reminder to all present of what marriage is really all about. Shawn & Steve are such great people, and they also happen to be our neighbors and now friends. After a some stormy weather the week prior, it turned out to be just a gorgeous day for their Nashville wedding at Brentwood United Methodist Church. We started the day off in Downtown Nashville at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel, and then it was off to the church in Brentwood for an intimate ceremony, followed by an elegant reception at Mere Bulles. These two share such a special connection together that I’m positive a lifetime of happiness awaits them. Congratulations, Shawn & Steve…thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a sweet day!

Brianna & Tony are ROCK STARS!! I just adore these two, and had so much fun shooting their wedding.  They chose to tie the knot at the beautiful Clifton Inn, an amazing location for a Virginia wedding. Incredible chemistry, elegant style and complete trust in their crazy photographer = one of my all-time favorite weddings of 2009! Congratulations Brianna & Tony!! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a special day!

What a GORGEOUS day it was for a winter Newport Beach wedding! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed being a part of Racquel & David’s wedding. I’d been looking forward to this day every since we did their engagement shoot in LA just before the New Year! This wedding was super special for me after shooting Racquel’s sister Michelle’s wedding, as well as the officiant’s wedding…it felt like I was with “family” all day.  Racquel & David were simply radiant, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. We started out at a beautiful beach house just off the Pacific, hit some rocky locations along the beach and then headed to a fabulous yacht for the ceremony and celebration. A few of my favorites…

What an amazing year it has been!  I am so fortunate to have had such incredible clients and gorgeous weddings to photograph this year.  I will be posting some of my favorite  highlights from 2008 as we wrap this  year up and perhaps the most important decision the bride and groom make besides their photographer of course (smile) is the venue.  One venue that I love love love to shoot at is The Adamson House in Malibu, CA. The Adamson House is a Malibu landmark and it makes for a GORGEOUS ocean-front wedding. This location has the rare combination of old historic charm with the beautiful southern california beach.  While they only book weddings April – October, that’s actually the perfect time of year for Malibu weddings.

I’ve really enjoyed shooting weddings at The Adamson House. The weather always seems to be pristine, and the staff is gracious & hospitable. The last wedding I photographed at The Adamson House was Sabrina & Apur’s a few weeks ago. I recommend The Adamson House to couples looking for a gorgeous location that’s sophisticated & elegant, without being over-the-top.
