I was soooo happy to meet beautiful baby Larsen!!  2 years ago, I photographed Larsen’s parent’s engagement session with their first furry “child,” Nikko.  That summer, Tracy & Pathik had a BEAUTIFUL Santa Barbara Indian wedding at the Montecito Country Club. Last month, I flew up to San Francisco to document this precious little guy in his first few weeks of his life!  I LOVE  photographing newborns in their first 2 weeks of life, when we can mold them into almost any situation and keep them sleeping.  I still can’t believe we got a picture of Larsen and Nikko sleeping together!! There is something incredibly special about documenting two people getting married, and then becoming parents.  Tracy & Pathik, it was so wonderful spending the day with you and watching what amazing parents you are!! Congratulations…I am so very happy for you!!! xox

You may remember Anjali & Girish’s San Francisco City Hall Wedding from a few weeks back. It was an amazing day with an extraordinary couple! I wanted to share their slideshow with you. This is why I love doing weddings from all different cultures! Enjoy!

I cannot tell you how much I loved being a part of this wedding!! First of all, Anjali & Girish are two of the kindest, most gracious people ever. Second, Indian weddings are packed full of beautiful traditions, blessings and soooo much color and texture…everywhere you turn! Third, I just loved all of their family and friends that were so incredibly warm and welcoming.. Anjali & Girish’s ceremony and reception took place at the Historic San Francisco City Hall, which was the perfect, fabulous backdrop for an INCREDIBLE day! Thank you Anjali & Girish for allowing me to be a part of such an AMAZING day!!

You may remember Anjali & Girish from their San Francisco engagement shoot! A couple of days before Anjali & Girish’s Wedding at the historic San Francisco City Hall, I had the privilege of joining their families just outside the city for a traditional Haldi Ceremony and Mehendi Celebration. The morning Haldi Ceremony included all of the elders giving Anjali their blessing, and then covering her in tumeric which, by tradition, is done to make the bride’s skin look more beautiful. Side note: Anjali is already very beautiful! This Mehendi Celebration is considered to be an essential element of an Indian wedding. Anjali & Girish were surrounded by family & friends who provided marital advice, and sang traditional songs for a prosperous married life. It was an evening full of love and laughter!!

San Francisco has to be one of my all time favorite places to visit!!  This is a city that has everything I love- the urban, the arts, so much culture and beautiful beaches & hills everywhere. So, I was super excited to head to the Bay Area for Anjali & Girish’s San Francisco Engagment Shoot. I know I say this all the time, but I really do have the most amazing clients.  I just adore these two, and it was such a pleasure to spend the day roaming the city with them.  Here’s a few shots from our time together.
