Kristen & Austin have a truly international love story! They met while studying abroad, Kristen in Florence, Italy and Austin in Sevilla, Spain. They spent some time traveling around Italy and Greece together, and the rest is history. I just adore these two. They are so incredibly down to earth, know how to have a good time and make each other laugh. I love that they made a donation on behalf of each wedding guest to the Search Dog Foundation.  The details and design of their wedding were insane…thanks to the amazing Mindy Weiss!! They got married in the hills of the Ojai Valley Inn with the guests seated under the most beautiful massive tree.  Then the guests were transported to a Narnia-like wonderland when they entered the reception. It was just an amazing day for two amazing people!  Congratulations, Kristen & Austin…thank you for allowing me to share in such a special day! xo….p.s. I think this may be my favorite Vera Wang gown…ever!

If you’re planning a barn wedding, and you want a rustic feel, Ojai Valley Inn is one of Southern California’s hidden gems. I’ve shot their a few times, and absolutely love the location! I recently had the privilege of shooting a wedding for an amazing couple at the lovely Ojai Valley Inn.  A warm sunny day, and the incredible Ojai hills, set the scene for a perfect wedding.  Although I have to be a little hush hush about the  family (Academy Award…wink wink) and the wedding day itself, they did say I could share some of the gorgeous details!!

Big props to Jill La Fleur for once again creating an absolutely incredible wedding! It’s great working with you. And  always a pleasure to work with wedding cinema genius (and super cool guy) Russell Fowler.

I received a beautiful end of the year gift today when I opened my mail, and there was the premiere issue of Southern Weddings Magazine. Lara Casey, and her wonderful team already run one of the most popular wedding Blogs in the wedding industry, and now they’ve outdone themselves with the new mag. I was so honored to learn that I’m featured in the magazine’s beautiful blooms feature. The picture was taken a few weeks back at Lisa & Tim’s Ojai Valley Inn wedding.

The gorgeous bouquet is by Holly Vesecky of Holly Flora. I’ve worked with Holly on a couple of weddings, and she is such an incredible artist!!  I love love her creations…breathtaking. I’ve been following the Southern Weddings team every since they featured Emily & Tye’s wedding last summer. I’m so excited to see what 2009 has in store for all of us!
