I feel terrible that I have neglected this blog so much over the last few weeks. It has been a whirlwind of travel, amazing weddings and working crazy hours editing pictures.  At the end of the day, something’s gotta give, and it usually ends up being updating my blog I have so many incredible weddings and shoots to share, but up first are the lovely Natasha & Keith. I am so happy to share with you the wonderful Country Music Hall of Fame Nashville wedding of Sam & Sam! I feel so incredibly blessed to work with some of the most amazing families at such a milestone in their children’s lives. When I arrived to photograph Samantha getting ready, her sweet mother, Ilene, gave me such a heartfelt thank you card and a donation made in my name to an incredible charity. It brought me to tears that they would even think of thanking me for being a part of this day after all that they have been through. Without going into too much detail, their family has overcome more trials over this last year than most of us have in a lifetime.  Love certainly overcame for this family, and it made this day such a beautiful celebration. Sam & Sam, you’re amazing, and to you and your incredible families, what an honor it was to be a part of this special day, capture your love and to now call you friends!

The very first time I met Marcie, I knew her wedding day was going to be special because she had a smile that literally lit up the room. It was no different on her wedding day, and it was that smile and her affection for Gary that made this day so special. It was the perfect day for a Fall wedding in Nashville at The Temple. Marcie & Gary, thank you so much for allowing me to share this amazing day with you and your wonderful families!

If you didn’t know better, you would think Melissa & Ben had just fallen in love. They have that fresh, new courtship kind of love…only they’ve been together over half a decade! You would NEVER know it. Their wedding was on a private estate/barn property overlooking the gorgeous rolling hills of Nashville.  It had the all of the ingredients for the perfect Nashville country Jewish wedding….gorgeous weather, bluegrass music and fried pickles!  To top it all off, the sun was setting during their ceremony into a brilliant pink just as they kissed under the Chuppah. It was INCREDIBLE!! Thank you Melissa & Ben, and your WONDERFUL families for allowing me to capture this special day!

Autumn & Kyle are incredibly unique and beautiful people! This is perhaps the most laid back couple I have ever photographed. They exchanged vows in the quaint King’s Chapel in Franklin, Tennessee. Autumn walked down the aisle barefoot to bluegrass music strumming in the background. Love that! This happened to be a VERY special wedding for us because Kyle’s mom, Karen, is a very big part of our lives. Karen, aka “Ms. Karen” is a dear family friend who helps us with our boys during this very busy time in our lives. If you happen to be a working mom, you know the immensity of this role. Ms. Karen is the true definition of a Godsend, and we couldn’t imagine our lives now without her! We have tremendous love for Karen and her husband, Jack, and they’ve truly become family to us.

That being said, shooting this wedding sort of felt like when I photographed by brother’s wedding eight years ago. Just a joy to be around such special people. Both Autumn and Kyle come from amazing families, and this wedding was really a result of the creative collaboration of those closest to them. All of the decorations, flowers, bouquets, corsages, centerpieces, etc. were made by Autumn’s parents and five siblings. Even the food was catered by her cousins. They all did a fantastic job! It’s weddings like these that are a great reminder of what this special occasion is really all about. It was an amazing and beautiful day, and I feel blessed to be the one who captured it. Congratulations, Autumn and Kyle!

I just finished editing Jessica & Bryan’s engagement pictures, and wanted to share this quick slideshow/video we put together. They’re such an adorable couple, and I can’t wait for their New Year’s Day wedding in Florida! Enjoy!

Meet the adorable Jessica & Bryan!! I’m so glad that we finally had the opportunity to spend some time with these two during their Nashville Engagement Session!  We began our adventure in Downtown Nashville, and then, for my fellow wine lovers, we hit the wine cellar at Valentino’s on West End.  I can’t wait to kick off 2011 with their New Year’s Day wedding in St. Petersburg, FL. So excited!!

2009 was an amazing year!! Like everyone’s year (and life in general), I had my ups & downs, but the constant bright spot was all of the TRULY incredible people, from all over the world, I had the privilege to meet & work with. While there are literally hundreds of images I wish I could post, I just finally finished my most difficult task so far this year- narrowing down my list of favorite wedding images from 2009. I can’t begin to tell you how hard it was to choose! I am just so grateful for all of my amazing clients! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of telling your beautiful stories.  Here’s a sneak peek (in no particular order) of some of my 2009 faves! I must start by saying that Jennie & Brad come from INCREDIBLE families!! I don’t think I’ve ever met such kind, welcoming & gracious people in my life! From the moment I connected with Jennie & Brad for their Los Angeles engagement shoot, I knew in my heart that their Nashville wedding was going to be quite a treat. The beautiful ceremony & reception were both held at The Temple in Nashville. Jennie & Brad, I feel blessed to have met you, and your families. Thanks for allowing me to share in such a special day.

I also want to extend a personal thank you to Kates Fine Catering, one of Nashville’s finest catering companies, for providing such an exquisitely delicious meal for this wedding. And as always, Nashville wedding & event planner extraordinaire, Jayne Bubis, did a phenomenal job orchestrating this amazing day!

Shawn & Steve are such great people, and they also happen to be our neighbors and now friends. After a some stormy weather the week prior, it turned out to be just a gorgeous day for their Nashville wedding at Brentwood United Methodist Church. We started the day off in Downtown Nashville at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel, and then it was off to the church in Brentwood for an intimate ceremony, followed by an elegant reception at Mere Bulles. These two share such a special connection together that I’m positive a lifetime of happiness awaits them. Congratulations, Shawn & Steve…thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a sweet day!
