Michelle and Jon are the kind of couple you meet and smile because they fit together so brilliantly. They had such a beautiful outdoor wedding at the  gorgeous Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. Michelle’s dad twirled her as he escorted her down the aisle, while Jon fought back his tears.  That pretty much sums up the tone of the entire day…so many sweet moments surrounded by a lot of fun! Congratulations Michelle & Jon, I’m honored to have been a part of such an amazing day!

I also want to thank my talented friend, Jill LaFleur of LaFleur Weddings for doing such a spectacular job planning & coordinating this wonderful event. It’s always a pleasure to work with you, and watch you do your magic! I also want to thank wedding filmmaker Joel Serrato of Joel Serrato Films for doing such an AMAZING job documenting this day! Amber & Rufus were married at his family’s magnificent Malibu Estate, Xanadu. Yes, the same Xanadu named after the 80′s movie starring Olivia Newton-John, who also previously owned the estate. The day was pure perfection! The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL, as Amber & Rufus recited  sweet and moving vows overlooking the Pacific. Gorgeous chandeliers hung from the trees overhead, which provided a seamless transition from the beach ceremony into a vibrant, red reception that screamed ELEGANCE! Mindy Weiss Party Consultants did a phenomenal job transforming the estate into the perfect venue for a  storybook wedding.  I just love how this day was such an amazing reflection of Amber & Rufus’ personal styles. In addition to being gorgeous, these two are incredibly giving, and probably some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Amber & Rufus, I’m so glad our paths crossed. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a spectacular day!!

The weather is usually near perfect on the California Coast, so I’m always super excited when I get the call for a Malibu wedding! It only gets better when I find out I’m working with a couple like Amber & Rufus.  I had a great time shooting this beautiful family…check out their three “babies” below…they are the CUTEST!  I’m absolutely convinced that we’re in for a VERY special day at their upcoming wedding at the Malibu Estate, Xanadu, overlooking the gorgeous Pacific! Can’t wait to share more….

Sharon & David are such great people! I’m really glad we were able to finally squeeze in some time for their beautiful Malibu engagement shoot…these two are busy!!  Sharon is a VERY talented interior designer, and David is a real estate mogul-in-the-making! Their upcoming wedding is going to be the 4th shooting event in the incredible journey with Sharon and David, and if the engagement party & bridal party were any indication of what the wedding’s going to be like, this is going to be the CELEBRATION of the year! I’m so excited to be a part of it!!

2009 was an amazing year!! Like everyone’s year (and life in general), I had my ups & downs, but the constant bright spot was all of the TRULY incredible people, from all over the world, I had the privilege to meet & work with. While there are literally hundreds of images I wish I could post, I just finally finished my most difficult task so far this year- narrowing down my list of favorite wedding images from 2009. I can’t begin to tell you how hard it was to choose! I am just so grateful for all of my amazing clients! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of telling your beautiful stories.  Here’s a sneak peek (in no particular order) of some of my 2009 faves! May your 2010 be filled with life, love & lots of laughter!!

I know I’ve already blogged about the incredible times I’ve shared with Courtney & Andrew during their Los Angeles engagement session last Spring, followed by their amazing Adamson House Malibu Wedding, but putting together their wedding slideshow brought a BIG smile to my face, and hopefully it’ll bring one to yours too.
