Wow, Lauren & David had such an incredible wedding! These two have such a sweet and honest love for each other. The way David looks at Lauren is enough to melt your heart! I found myself smiling all day just knowing that these two wonderful people have found each other, and will be spending the rest of their lives together. Their fabulous ceremony and reception were held at the regal Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. It was a day where I was able to witness a couple confirming their deep love, and watch the joining of two wonderful families. Lauren & David, I’m honored to have been part of such a monumental occasion! I’m so grateful to my incredible client, and now friend, Candace Lee, for connecting me with Lauren & David.

I just love these rings that have been passed down from David's family. The inscription means: "I am beloved and my beloved is mine." Love it!!

malibu wedding by joy marie | amber + rufus | xanadu estate

Amber & Rufus were married at his family’s magnificent Malibu Estate, Xanadu. Yes, the same Xanadu named after the 80′s movie starring Olivia Newton-John, who also previously owned the estate. The day was pure perfection! The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL, as Amber & Rufus recited sweet and moving vows overlooking the Pacific. Gorgeous chandeliers hung from the trees overhead, which provided a seamless transition from the beach ceremony into a vibrant, red reception that screamed ELEGANCE! Mindy Weiss Party Consultants did a phenomenal job transforming the estate into the perfect venue for a storybook wedding. I just love how this day was such an amazing reflection of Amber & Rufus’ personal styles. In addition to being gorgeous, these two are incredibly giving, and probably some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Amber & Rufus, I’m so glad our paths crossed. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a spectacular day!!

Sharon & David pretty much sum up the reason I LOVE my job! From our first meeting until the final petal toss, I just loved being around these two!! They are such fun, incredibly sweet people, and I just adore them. It has been a year of extraordinary celebrations leading up to their Los Angeles wedding! I’m pretty sure David is tired of me saying, “I REALLY love these two!!” every single time he walks by, while I’m working on Mitzi & Darwin’s wedding images. I have so enjoyed getting to know Mitzi & Darwin over the last year. They are both super kind, creative, funny and absolutely perfect for each other. Most importantly, they completely adore each other, which has made my time with them during their Los Angeles engagement shoot & wedding so easy and fun! Their wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful & historic St. Charles of Borromeo Catholic Church, and then we were off to Marina Del Rey for some SERIOUS celebration!! It was an incredibly gorgeous day, and such an honor for me to be a part of it! Congratulations, Mitzi & Darwin!!

Julie & Aaron’s Santa Monica wedding at The Victorian was sooo beautiful! It was a day full of love, laughter and incredible family & friends. These two are such sweet, caring and super intelligent people…just check out their cake, which was an abstract mathematical formula design! Every last detail was such a beautiful reflection who they are; from the recycled yarmulkes to Julie’s vintage dress to her grandmother’s GORGEOUS jewelry. Thanks, Julie & Aaron, for allowing me to be part of such a special day! I hope you have an amazing time on your honeymoon!

Avery & Robert are two amazing people who live extraordinary lives, and they brought all of that passion & love for life to their wedding day! Nothing about these two, or their wedding day, was “traditional,” but rather it was a true reflection of who they are…fun, spontaneous, 100% unique & crazy about each other. Robert is a bonafide ROCK STAR!! He’s produced for rock greats like Ozzy Osbourne, and co-founded the glam metal band, ‘Hurricane.’ Avery’s the founder of the vintage fashion company, ‘Making A Comeback.’ They couldn’t be more perfect for each other. It was a gorgeous day for their Palos Verdes Wedding at the beautiful Wayfarer’s Chapel, followed by a rockin’ reception at the swanky The Sky Room in Long Beach. What a day! Avery & Robert, thanks for allowing me to be a part of such an awesome day. ROCK ON!!

Courtney & Andrew are incredible, creative, free spirits with a very sweet, uninhibited kind of love! I knew after our Venice engagement session that I was in for quite a treat on their wedding day!! This day was so rich with culture, tradition and joyful celebration. Andrew is an AMAZING African drummer, and HE played for his bride as she walked down the aisle. Love that!! The ceremony was a beautiful fusion of African and Jewish customs that included phenomenal African drumming & dancing, the INCREDIBLE, Yehuda Solomon, his band Moshav, and so many beautiful friends & family from, literally, all over the world. Congratulations, Courtney & Andrew! I loved being part of such a wonderfully eclectic day!
