2009 was an amazing year!! Like everyone’s year (and life in general), I had my ups & downs, but the constant bright spot was all of the TRULY incredible people, from all over the world, I had the privilege to meet & work with. While there are literally hundreds of images I wish I could post, I just finally finished my most difficult task so far this year- narrowing down my list of favorite wedding images from 2009. I can’t begin to tell you how hard it was to choose! I am just so grateful for all of my amazing clients! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of telling your beautiful stories.  Here’s a sneak peek (in no particular order) of some of my 2009 faves! May your 2010 be filled with life, love & lots of laughter!!

Mitzi & Darwin are SO ADORABLE; just really kind people! It was really nice to spend a little time with these two and get to know them a little better. Not having done this before, Mitzi & Darwin, like most of my clients, were a little nervous at first, but by the end of the day, they were pros! Here’s a little sneak peek from their recent Los Angeles engagement shoot. I’m so excited for their LA wedding next year at St. Charles of Borromeo!

Karnis & Alex’s Los Angeles engagement shoot was the most unique & original session I’ve ever done! Love these two!! Their Sherwood Country Club wedding was no less spectacular! Here’s a little sneak! More to come…

I had so much fun getting to know Ambra & Aaron during their engagement shoot. These two are sooo sweet, classy and just incredibly beautiful people! Although Ambra & Aaron are having a Nashville wedding next summer, we actually met up in Los Angeles for their engagement session. We kicked things off at the elegant Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, and then hit some of my favorite spots in Venice. Super excited for their Scarritt-Bennett Wedding next year!!

 

 

Kelly & Lowell’s Spanish Hills Country Club Wedding was definitely one for the memory books! It was a beautiful fairy tale wedding, complete with Kelly’s grand entrance via horse & carriage, and her “Marine in Shining Armour” awaiting his GORGEOUS bride! INCREDIBLE!! I’d been eagerly looking forward to this day since I connected with Kelly & Lowell a couple of months back for their Downtown Los Angeles Engagement Session. From the first time we met, I could tell these two really had a spark for each other, as well as a spark for life; Lowell serving his country as a Marine & Officer, and Kelly doing volunteer work in third world countries. These two are just all around great people! Both come from kind & generous families, and that made the day all the more special! Congratulations, Kelly & Lowell, and thanks for having me be a part of such a wonderful occasion! I’m so excited for our “Day After Session!”

So, I just LOVE it when my clients come up with crazy, creative concepts for their engagement shoot. Karnis & Alex completely came up with concepts & sketched out everything from the locations down to the minutest details of their outfits for this rockin’ Los Angeles session! We covered themes from the iconic American Gothic portrait by Grant Wood to some of Norman Rockwell’s famous works to comic book lovebirds, Clark Kent & Lois Lane. This had to be one of the funnest engagement shoots EVER!! It’s hard to express how excited I am for Karnis & Alex’s upcoming wedding at the gorgeous Sherwood Country Club. These two must be planning to honeymoon on the planet Krypton! Thanks guys, for an INCREDIBLE experience!!

I know I say this so much, but I really had such a great time shooting Courtney & Andrew’s engagement session.  These two are such incredible free spirits, with fabulous style and an amazing love & connection to one another. I should also mention that Courtney & Andrew are both AMAZING musicians, and I met them last summer at another Malibu wedding where they were performing and I was shooting. I am so looking forward to their Malibu wedding this summer at the gorgeous Adamson House!

Since Kelly first met Lowell in uniform, we thought it would be fun to do some of their Los Angeles engagement session with Lowell suited up in his Marine Corp Blues.  These two are incredible people! Lowell serves our state & nation, and Kelly is an RN who has done some unbelievable volunteer work in third world countries.  Super excited for a fabulous Camarillo Wedding later this summer!!

I headed down to my old stomping grounds for this Venice engagement shoot with Nadia & Marcus.  These two are so incredibly ADORABLE, and I really had a blast shooting them!  Their upcoming Dana Point wedding is sure to be GORGEOUS!! Thanks, Nadia & Marcus, for such a fun day!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Jennie & Brad for their Los Angeles engagement shoot. It’s difficult to put into words how sweet & gracious these two are; just full of life, and really fun to be around. Although we did their engagement session in LA, Jennie & Brad are actually having a Nashville wedding (Jennie’s hometown) at The Temple. I met these two through Jennie’s mom, Goldie, a great lady & wonderful Nashville caterer. I think kindness just runs in the family! Jennie & Brad, it was great to spend the day together in LA. I’m so excited about your summer wedding. See you soon back in the ‘ville!
