When I have clients tell me they don’t like getting their picture taken…I REALLY get it!! I’m soooo much more comfortable creating the art than being the subject of it. Here’s a little secret, ONLY use a photographer that you feel super comfortable around! When David and I talked about getting some pictures taken on our 13th wedding anniversary, I knew Jillian Bisinger was that girl for me! Jill is a good friend of ours, and a super talented artist. It’s a good experience for every photographer to get on the other side of the camera. It really shows you how important it is to have that trust with each other in order to get the intimate, vulnerable shots. I am a strong believer that every couple, at every age, should take time out in their relationship to document their love. When I look through the pictures from this shoot, it makes me so grateful that 13 years ago I said “I do” to the most incredible man I’ve ever met. Jill, thanks for the AMAZING pics. I love this behind the scenes shot! Climbing a mountain of trash and rubble to get to the perfect spot. That's what it's all about ladies & gentlemen...light and texture:)

Candace and her hubby, Dustin, are two of my biggest cheerleaders (and now friends), who’ve sent tons of work my way since I did their summer wedding at Spanish Hills Country Club. We received word this week that we made it into the Junebug Weddings Best from the Best 2009 Fashion Report! Here is what the wonderful ladies at Junebug (Blair, Kim & Christy) had to say about the report:

I want to give a big shout out of thanks Christy Weber, and the fabulous ladies at Junebug Weddings for today’s feature on ‘What Junebug Loves.’ I’m so glad they chose to feature Mike & Debra Davis, a Los Angeles wedding from last year, and two of my favorite people in the whole world! I always wondered if I was the only one who thought Mike’s boutonniere was OFF THE CHARTS amazing! I guess there are others out there who think so too! Thanks again, Junebug!
