Alicia & Johan are beautiful…inside and out. They are also madly in love which makes my job super easy. We had such a great time together during their Mission San Juan Capistrano Engagement Session. I love all of the textures and depth that this Mission has to offer. I met Alicia & Johan through Alicia’s wonderful family…you may remember her beautiful sister from Natalie’s engagement session last year. Alicia & Johan are getting married later this year at the gorgeous Nooitgedacht Estate (try pronouncing that one) in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Stellenbosch is a picturesque town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for their South African wedding. Can’t wait to share it with you…xo

I really wish I had documented my pregnancy experience with all of my boys…it’s such a beautiful time for a woman. Maybe that’s why I’m so passionate about capturing this special time for my clients. Bita & Shadi are GORGEOUS, and now the proud parents of sweet baby Asher. I recently photographed Asher’s Bris Ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel (he was a champ by the way). What an amazing way to wrap up 2011! Cathryn & Gael recited their vows under some Oak and Olive trees and twinkle lights at Gridley Ranch in the gorgeous hills of Ojai, California. There was really nothing traditional about this day, and that’s what I loved most. It was two beautiful, incredibly talented, artistic people coming together to celebrate with just their closest friends and family. Gael happens to be an exquisite chef, and was responsible for an amazing dinner that was served that evening. Cathryn worked with Sonia Hopkins from XOXO Bride to bring her personal touches to every inch of the decor. I’m in love with the rustic chic Ojai palette textures they chose!  Congratulations, Cathryn & Gael! May you continue to create amazingness together for a lifetime! xoxo

Congratulations to my bride Kristen Fohrer DeArman for being featured in a Wall Street Journal Article about the recent trend of couples requesting that their guests donate to a charitable cause in lieu of wedding gifts. Kristen & Austin had a beautiful October wedding at Ojai Valley Inn planned & coordinated by Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. They asked guests to make a donation to the Search Dog Foundation, a request that was made via the most adorable wedding favor: a Milk-Bone Dog Treat (actually a cookie in the shape of a dog biscuit) created by Beverly Hills Bakery BabyCakes. Congrats again, Kristen & Austin, and thanks for inspiring all of us to give more!

I love it when a couple is just willing to go with the flow!  We thought we were going to shoot in the vineyards of Los Olivos, but here’s a little secret…the vineyards are more like rows of sticks in the winter. Thankfully, we had a gorgeous Southern California winter day, and we just rolled on down to Santa Barbara for the rest of our shoot. I adore Kara & Chris, and we had such a fun day together. I’m so excited for their Rancho Dos Pueblos Summer Wedding!

Angel & Will had such a wonderful Chicago wedding. It was an amazing day full of love, passion and emotion. These two are individually such giving, kind and beautiful people, but together it’s all magnified, and they just light up the room! They truly embraced every bit of the joy and emotion they felt on their wedding day. Angel even surprised Will with a brand new SUV as a wedding gift because she said he had sacrificed so much to give her the wedding of her dreams. Much love to you both Angel & Will! From the moment I met Serena & Rob, I knew their wedding was going to be SO much fun and completely unique! These two are both so kind hearted, thoughtful and HILARIOUS…they really are a perfect compliment to one another. They had the best approach to their wedding- super organized, but never loosing sight of the celebration and joy that was at the center of it all. And when things didn’t go just exactly as planned (something ALL weddings experience), these two just rolled with it, enjoyed each other and cherished their time together. Their ceremony and reception was at the celebrity favorite and historic Beverly Hills Hotel. It was an amazing and emotional day, and I’m so grateful to have been there to capture their awesome love! Kristen & Austin have a truly international love story! They met while studying abroad, Kristen in Florence, Italy and Austin in Sevilla, Spain. They spent some time traveling around Italy and Greece together, and the rest is history. I just adore these two. They are so incredibly down to earth, know how to have a good time and make each other laugh. I love that they made a donation on behalf of each wedding guest to the Search Dog Foundation.  The details and design of their wedding were insane…thanks to the amazing Mindy Weiss!! They got married in the hills of the Ojai Valley Inn with the guests seated under the most beautiful massive tree.  Then the guests were transported to a Narnia-like wonderland when they entered the reception. It was just an amazing day for two amazing people!  Congratulations, Kristen & Austin…thank you for allowing me to share in such a special day! xo….p.s. I think this may be my favorite Vera Wang gown…ever!
