San Francisco has to be one of my all time favorite places to visit!!  This is a city that has everything I love- the urban, the arts, so much culture and beautiful beaches & hills everywhere. So, I was super excited to head to the Bay Area for Anjali & Girish’s San Francisco Engagment Shoot. I know I say this all the time, but I really do have the most amazing clients.  I just adore these two, and it was such a pleasure to spend the day roaming the city with them.  Here’s a few shots from our time together. Stay tuned for their upcoming Indian Wedding at San Francisco City Hall…it’s going to be AHH-MAZING!!

I’m convinced everyone in Nashville knows Bishop Joseph Walker and his beautiful wife, Dr. Stephaine Walker. The last time I photographed these two, the Blog post drew well over 200 comments!! Here’s a little sneak peek from our  recent session. These two are FAB-U-LOUS!! I promise to share more soon!

Sharon & David are such great people! I’m really glad we were able to finally squeeze in some time for their beautiful Malibu engagement shoot…these two are busy!!  Sharon is a VERY talented interior designer, and David is a real estate mogul-in-the-making! Their upcoming wedding is going to be the 4th shooting event in the incredible journey with Sharon and David, and if the engagement party & bridal party were any indication of what the wedding’s going to be like, this is going to be the CELEBRATION of the year! I’m so excited to be a part of it!!

What an amazing day!! So, I LOVE contrast! I think it’s something I am always subconsciously searching for when I shoot…contrasting light, colors, sizes, textures- you get the idea. I was beyond excited to head down to St. Augustine, Florida for Meredith & Steven’s White Room Wedding.  St. Augustine is the oldest city in America, built by the Spanish in 1740-1742. It has some INCREDIBLE architecture that’s rarely found in our country.  It was just the perfect backdrop for the youthful Meredith & Steven- CONTRAST!!  These two are beautiful, fresh, adventurous and just the sweetest people ever!! They also happen to be a part of one of my FAVORITE families from one of my favorite weddings a couple of years ago!!  Thank you Meredith, Steven and your wonderful families for allowing me to, once again, be a part of such special day!

I had so much fun with Cari and Jared during their Laguna Beach engagement session!  I’m running out of words to describe my engagement shoots, but I always leave them so full and excited about my clients! It’s such a great way for us to just get to know each other, and for me as an artist to develop that relationship of trust; to be allowed into the most intimate moments of my client’s lives! These two are just beautiful, fun loving and down to earth. I am so super excited for their Palm Springs wedding at the AMAZING Korakia Pensione hotel. The Korakia Pensione has been named one of the sexiest hotels in America, making it a perfect match for these two!

A big thanks to the wonderful ladies at Junebug Weddings for featuring this image of the GORGEOUS, Candace, in today’s Phenomenal Photography post! Candace and her hubby, Dustin, are two of my biggest cheerleaders  (and now friends), who’ve sent tons of work my way since I did their summer wedding at Spanish Hills Country Club. Maryam & Ajmal are two very special people….so kindhearted & generous!! I was so excited to be there to capture their traditional Afghan wedding in Falls Church, Virginia. You don’t have to speak Farsi to appreciate the rich traditions of their wedding, and the love & respect these two have for their families and their community. In lieu of wedding gifts, they asked their guests to make a donation towards helping the neediest people in their native homeland of Afghanistan. They ended up sending over $9,000 back to Afghanistan! So amazing! I had a great time with these two and their families!! Congratulations, Maryam & Ajmal!

I’ve had a few photographers & colleagues ask me what this feedjit thing is all about. It’s basically just a cool web gizmo that allows me to engage with my visitors & friends from around the world in real time. Love it!

2009 was an amazing year!! Like everyone’s year (and life in general), I had my ups & downs, but the constant bright spot was all of the TRULY incredible people, from all over the world, I had the privilege to meet & work with. While there are literally hundreds of images I wish I could post, I just finally finished my most difficult task so far this year- narrowing down my list of favorite wedding images from 2009. I can’t begin to tell you how hard it was to choose! I am just so grateful for all of my amazing clients! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of telling your beautiful stories.  Here’s a sneak peek (in no particular order) of some of my 2009 faves! May your 2010 be filled with life, love & lots of laughter!!
