What an amazing way to wrap up 2011! Cathryn & Gael recited their vows under some Oak and Olive trees and twinkle lights at Gridley Ranch in the gorgeous hills of Ojai, California. There was really nothing traditional about this day, and that’s what I loved most. It was two beautiful, incredibly talented, artistic people coming together to celebrate with just their closest friends and family. Gael happens to be an exquisite chef, and was responsible for an amazing dinner that was served that evening. Cathryn worked with Sonia Hopkins from XOXO Bride to bring her personal touches to every inch of the decor. I’m in love with the rustic chic Ojai palette textures they chose!  Congratulations, Cathryn & Gael! May you continue to create amazingness together for a lifetime! xoxo

Congratulations to my bride Kristen Fohrer DeArman for being featured in a Wall Street Journal Article about the recent trend of couples requesting that their guests donate to a charitable cause in lieu of wedding gifts. Kristen & Austin had a beautiful October wedding at Ojai Valley Inn planned & coordinated by Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. They asked guests to make a donation to the Search Dog Foundation, a request that was made via the most adorable wedding favor: a Milk-Bone Dog Treat (actually a cookie in the shape of a dog biscuit) created by Beverly Hills Bakery BabyCakes. Congrats again, Kristen & Austin, and thanks for inspiring all of us to give more!

Angel & Will had such a wonderful Chicago wedding. It was an amazing day full of love, passion and emotion. These two are individually such giving, kind and beautiful people, but together it’s all magnified, and they just light up the room! They truly embraced every bit of the joy and emotion they felt on their wedding day. Angel even surprised Will with a brand new SUV as a wedding gift because she said he had sacrificed so much to give her the wedding of her dreams. Much love to you both Angel & Will! Kristen & Austin have a truly international love story! They met while studying abroad, Kristen in Florence, Italy and Austin in Sevilla, Spain. They spent some time traveling around Italy and Greece together, and the rest is history. I just adore these two. They are so incredibly down to earth, know how to have a good time and make each other laugh. I love that they made a donation on behalf of each wedding guest to the Search Dog Foundation.  The details and design of their wedding were insane…thanks to the amazing Mindy Weiss!! They got married in the hills of the Ojai Valley Inn with the guests seated under the most beautiful massive tree.  Then the guests were transported to a Narnia-like wonderland when they entered the reception. It was just an amazing day for two amazing people!  Congratulations, Kristen & Austin…thank you for allowing me to share in such a special day! xo….p.s. I think this may be my favorite Vera Wang gown…ever!

From our very first conversations, I fell in love with Michele & Ben! I knew that our associate, Brandon, would be a great fit for this amazing couple. They have such an incredible story of love & loss. A few months before their wedding, we met to discuss the day. Michele & Ben told me they had recently received news of Michele’s mother’s terminal cancer diagnosis. I was so affected by Ben’s tenderness towards Michele. This is what makes a beautiful marriage, and I’m so happy these two have found each other. I just love the way Brandon captured the spirit of these two beautiful souls. Their ceremony took place at the gorgeous Trinity Episcopal Church, and reception at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara…it was a celebration of lives well lived and new beginnings. Congratulations, Michele & Ben! xo

A big thanks to Rebecca Gigandet of Imagine Weddings & Special Events for doing such a wonderful job coordinating this special day. Also, my ridiculously talented friends over at Shade Tree Films did an AMAZING job putting together a short film from the wedding for Michele’s mother to view before she passed away. When I first met beautiful Estineh at her sister Sevana’s wedding back in 2008, I was secretly hoping this day would come! And what a day it was! I just love Estineh & Matt…they are such kind and gracious people, so completely in love with each other.  Their Palm Springs Parker Hotel wedding was the perfect reflection of their modern style and sophistication. We even ran into designer, Betsy Johnson, there who of course gave Estineh the big thumbs up  Thanks you two for letting me be a part of your special day and being so awesome! xox

I’m super excited to share that Munaluchi Bride Magazine featured Ambra and Aaron’s wedding in their just released Winter issue.  Although Ambra & Aaron live on the East Coast, and Aaron grew up on the West Coast, they chose Nashville (Ambra’s hometown) and the beautiful Scarritt Bennett Cultural Center for their destination wedding. This is such a great bridal magazine “for the bride who craves culture and style”…if you haven’t already go pick up a copy for a whole lot of chic wedding inspiration!
