I love it so much when a couple thinks outside of the box, and wants to get creative with our time together! Melissa & Scott are definitely one of those couples! They told me right from the start that they didn’t want to do a typical engagement shoot, and that they’d much rather get all dressed up in their wedding attire, and do a more sophisticated session. My kind of clients! We hit the Viceroy in Santa Monica and Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, and had such a great time. I just love these two for their sweet love, amazing style and quiet sophistication. I was soooo happy to meet beautiful baby Larsen!!  2 years ago, I photographed Larsen’s parent’s engagement session with their first furry “child,” Nikko.  That summer, Tracy & Pathik had a BEAUTIFUL Santa Barbara Indian wedding at the Montecito Country Club. Last month, I flew up to San Francisco to document this precious little guy in his first few weeks of his life!  I LOVE  photographing newborns in their first 2 weeks of life, when we can mold them into almost any situation and keep them sleeping.  I still can’t believe we got a picture of Larsen and Nikko sleeping together!! There is something incredibly special about documenting two people getting married, and then becoming parents.  Tracy & Pathik, it was so wonderful spending the day with you and watching what amazing parents you are!! Congratulations…I am so very happy for you!!! xox

I completely ADORE my little sister, Kristi! She has been there for me for the births of all three of my boys, so I was SO excited when the timing worked out for me to be in Seattle with her for the birth of her third child, Rae Adele. It was such an incredible blessing for me to experience the miracle of life through someone I love so much. Kristi was a champ, and had Rae with no epidural or drugs. My brother-in-law Dustin  is an amazing dad and husband , and  could pretty much write the book,  “How to Support Your Wife Through Labor.”  We were all so emotional during Rae’s entrance into this world…me mostly because I knew the pain Kristi was experiencing and couldn’t help her. But Dustin said afterwards, “it is so beautiful to watch Kristi give her first act of sacrifice as a mother to our baby.”  It was intense and beautiful and quite possible the most precious images I’ve had the opportunity to capture. A few weeks ago I had opportunity to photograph the super cute kids at Micah’s pre-school. This is his last year with this adorable group because next year he goes to “Big Kid’s School” (as Micah would say)…my baby’s growing up:(  Here’s a little glimpse of my day with the pint-sized gang!
