pennsylvania photography | heather + brendan | amish country engagement

From our very first phone call (over a year ago), I just knew that Heather & Brendan were the perfect match for us! David and I had such a blast with these two in Lancaster, Pennsylvania…aka Amish Country. It was a surreal day exploring the beautiful amish farmlands, and discovering abandoned barns and buildings that seemed to be begging for someone to come and take pictures in them. These two are my dream couple to shoot; totally in love and completely trusting of my crazy ideas…braving rotting wood floors, questionable ceilings and 25ft hay bales, all to get the best shot.  I am so super excited for their wedding at the beautiful Cairnwood Mansion later this summer. It was so hard to narrow these down, but here’s a few of my favorites…

It’s hard for me to even describe how adorably CUTE Heather & Brendan are. David and I flew into Pennsylvania to spend the day with these two for their country engagement shoot, and  we had the most amazing time. They even arranged a midday pit-stop where Brendan’s mom made us a wonderful meal! They were such kind and gracious hosts, and incredibly fun to be around. Here’s a little sneak, but I’ve definitely got more to share from this day! Can’t wait for their August wedding at the AMAZING Cairnwood Mansion!!

It’s been tough keeping up with the Blog while crisscrossing the country for summer weddings! I’m not complaining though! I absolutely LOVE what I do, and love all of my AMAZING clients even more. I just had to share a quick sneak from Cristina & Brock’s Atlanta engagement shoot. These two are such a cute couple, and I know their Atlanta wedding next year is going to be MAGNIFICENT! Can’t wait to share more from this one!

Chenine and I have been trying to match up our schedules for months, so it was great to fiiiinally connect with her and Joe at the new swanky Avia Hotel in Long Beach. Chenine & Joe are a super sexy, fun couple and the Avia Hotel fit them perfectly! I’m so looking to connecting again for their late summer wedding!

new york city engagement shoot by joy marie | alyn + kevin

I was so excited to hear that Alyn & Kevin wanted to fly me into New York City for their engagement shoot. Alyn & Kevin are both incredibly kind and gracious people, and were such great hosts as we navigated the busy streets of Manhattan. With Kevin practicing law and Alyn medicine, both right in the heart of NYC, these two lead VERY busy lives, so capturing them enjoying each other on a day off was pretty special! Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE New York City, and spending the day in my favorite city with this adorable couple was so much fun. Super excited for their June wedding!
