I know I say this so much, but I really had such a great time shooting Courtney & Andrew’s engagement session. These two are such incredible free spirits, with fabulous style and an amazing love & connection to one another. I should also mention that Courtney & Andrew are both AMAZING musicians, and I met them last summer at another Malibu wedding where they were performing and I was shooting. I am so looking forward to their Malibu wedding this summer at the gorgeous Adamson House!

Nothing melts my heart more than watching my boys with their dad. It is such a gift to have a husband who devotes so much of himself to his children. He is an incredible example to them of what it means to be a husband, a father and a man. I am blessed. Happy Father’s Day, David…I love you!!
I was so thrilled to hear that one of my favoritest couples from last year is having a baby!! You may remember Danielle & Colin from their INCREDIBLE 2008 Dana Point wedding and Orange County engagement session. They once again rocked my socks off, and Danielle worked that baby bump! I’m so excited to meet little Ms. Logan…stay tuned for her newborn debut!!

Shawn & Steve are such great people, and they also happen to be our neighbors and now friends. After a some stormy weather the week prior, it turned out to be just a gorgeous day for their Nashville wedding at Brentwood United Methodist Church. We started the day off in Downtown Nashville at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel, and then it was off to the church in Brentwood for an intimate ceremony, followed by an elegant reception at Mere Bulles. These two share such a special connection together that I’m positive a lifetime of happiness awaits them. Congratulations, Shawn & Steve…thanks for allowing me to be a part of such a sweet day!

Brianna & Tony are ROCK STARS!! I just adore these two, and had so much fun shooting their wedding. They chose to tie the knot at the beautiful Clifton Inn, an amazing location for a Virginia wedding. While in Oklahoma City, we stopped at White Water Bay Park, and then hit the road for the long stretch to Albuquerque, with some interesting stops along the way. It’s amazing what you can discover alongside the freeway in the middle of nowhere:

Lessons learned today:
1. They DO actually make a cocktail for kids. It’s called grape juice and Nyquil: The sniffling, coughing, sneezing, stuffy head, make-your-kids-shut-up-so-you-can-rest-medicine!
2. When a 4 year-old says, “I have to pee!” right in the middle of timbuktu, he doesn’t mean, “please stop at the next rest stop, so I can relieve myself.” He means, “pull this car over NOW, or you’re about to get sprayed!”
Since Kelly first met Lowell in uniform, we thought it would be fun to do some of their Los Angeles engagement session with Lowell suited up in his Marine Corp Blues. These two are incredible people! Lowell serves our state & nation, and Kelly is an RN who has done some unbelievable volunteer work in third world countries. Super excited for a fabulous Camarillo Wedding later this summer!!

After leaving Nashville five hours later than expected (it’s tough getting 5 people out of the house), we’re off on this cross-country road trip! Lessons learned today:
1. The mosquitos are the size of hummingbirds in Arkansas, so it’s advisable to stay indoors.
2. If you lean towards a vegetarian diet, bring your food with you through these parts. Even the veggies are fried down here!

Melissa & Jamie had a GORGEOUS Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort Wedding! It was an amazing day, and an incredibly HOT one! (like a 104 degree, hand-melting-into-camera kind of day)! But these two remained graceful & cool, and were so much fun to work with. After the winds Melissa & Jamie withstood during their Malibu engagement shoot, I knew they could handle anything! Congratulations, Melissa & Jamie and thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special day!
